The first-in-first-out principle describes a storage strategy in which the goods that were put into storage first are also the first to leave the warehouse. Storage techniques that use the FIFO principle include the following:
- Pallet flow rack warehouse
- Container flow rack warehouse
In storage types, such as high-bay warehouses, the application of the method depends, among other things, on the storage technology used.
