Professorship for Technical Logistics

The professorship for Technical Logistics at the Technical University of Dresden combines expertise in factory planning, material flow technology and material flow planning. The focus is on the analysis, design and optimization of production and distribution systems in the context of a holistic view of internal processes.

In the workgroup ‘Factory Planning’, the research focuses on factory layout planning, the control of complex production systems and factory ecology. In material flow technology, the dynamic simulation, the quantitative determination of wear, as well as the dimensioning of elements and conveyors. In material flow planning, the main research areas are the analysis and planning of material flow systems, simulation of event-discrete systems and the development of algorithms and heuristics.
