A rack can be divided into vertical rack based on the scale of an adult (average size of 1.70 m). The viewing zone starts at an average height of 1.40 – 1.60 m and reaches up to 1.80 m depending on the height.

The viewing zone is the storage area at eye level of the order picker. Stored goods in this area are considered to be the most turnover-intensive.
As with the gripping zone, the problem-free picking saves time and energy. The decisive advantage is that storage and retrieval are the fastest, as the order picker can obtain an overview of the storage area in the shortest possible time.
